Friday, June 12, 2009 at 18:19 OK, this isn't actually the search for who will play Judge Dredd in the new film. These scans are taken from the Judge Dredd Annual 1984, made me chuckle so thought I'd share. It was written for fun and even 10 years before Sly hit screens as Dredd he seemed a front runner for the role.

At it's peak 2000AD sold around 100,000 copies every week, that's EVERY WEEK people, almost ½ million comics a month, that's impressive stuff. Like so many others in 1980's Britain I bought 2000AD for one reason, Judge Dredd.
